Following a full tendering process, Temco Facility Services has been awarded a further five year contract to provide cleaning services to Harrow College. Covering approximately 20,000 m2, the college is the largest in the London Borough of Harrow, based on two sites at Harrow on the Hill and Harrow Weald.
Temco have worked with Harrow College since 2007, providing complete cleaning, window cleaning, external cleaning, janitorial supply and feminine hygiene services.
“We are delighted to have been re-awarded this contract,” says Andrew Philpot, Temco’s Managing Director. “This was a rigorous process in which Harrow College needed to identify the right balance between quality and cost to ensure best value. I am gratified that they found that balance in Temco, especially as we are currently developing our presence in the educational sector.” Harrow College’s Estates Manager added:
“Temco’s management has been very professional, easily contactable and proactive in supporting their cleaning teams. They were quick to understand the college priorities at the start of the contract and worked well with the college to deliver improved cleaning standards. Their quality systems are well developed and they provide effective staff recruitment and training.
Harrow College aims to be a leading sustainable College and Temco Services have supported our recycling and carbon saving objectives. We are very pleased with Temco Services’ performance to date and look forward to continued future success.”
“Stability has been crucial to the success of this contract,” adds Andrew. “We have embedded processes that ensure we quickly understand the college’s requirements, which, as the sites include many older buildings, present special challenges. We also invested in staff, many of whom took the NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services.”
